Our Dog Training Packages

At Seadogs Training we are committed to delivering professional training sessions to train both the handler and the dog, from the time you bring home your new puppy to the time you take your dog out on your first shoot day and beyond. We also cater for those of you who would like a better partnership but have no intention of working your dog. Having the basics will make both you and you dog happier and create a bond between you.  Seadogs – “Training you and your dog”

Our training packages will give you the confidence to work your dog in the shooting field, and have an obedient pet in and around the home.

We offer 1:1 sessions for those owners who cannot commit to a set time each week or whose dog needs some more work before going into a group class.  The initial assessment is 1 hour and £55.  Follow up sessions are £45 for a 45 minute session.  We do offer a 10% discount on a block booking of 10 sessions.

If you wish, we can move onto more advanced training including water retrieving, dropping to flush, shot and directional work.

We also run training days to give you and your dog the opportunity to further training in new environments. They are also an introduction to how a shoot day is run.  Alongside workshops to address particular areas of training.

You do not have to commit to weekly sessions, depending on yours, and your dogs, needs you may only need one session to master an area you are struggling with. Then you can return if you wish at a later date to take another step in your partnership together.  Training takes hours of time and patience, but it is worth remembering you get out what you put in!

You can gain respect from your dog through clear, consistent commands. Remember if something is not happening it is because you are not being clear in your part of the conversation with your dog.  We are happy to demonstrate working our dogs; please just let us know you’d like to see a demonstration at the time of booking and we can make sure we have our dogs with us.
