Gundog Training Holidays

We run several 3 day gundog training holidays through out the year. Some during the week and some over weekends. During the time with us you will have two gundog trainers on site working with you at all times. Both Rob & Julie are experienced gun dog handlers and trainers. The days are run within our excellent training ground at Stour Valley Gundog Training Centre and we can therefore cater for all breeds and experience. We are expert in adapting exercises to suit every dog and handler combination so that everyone gets the very best. We may have the opportunity to take a trip off site and train, depending on the group.

Some of the things we will cover are:

Improving marking, memories and blind retrieves.

We can help you improve your skills and gain experience of different scenarios.

We may also incorporate remote dummy launchers, hand held launcher and lucky launcher.

We have woods, cover, jumps and water as well as the opportunity on some days to use our rabbit pen.

Days are from 10am until 3pm, although that is dependant on dogs and handlers. If dogs/handlers are getting tired we may finish earlier.

You can bring multiple dogs and alternate them, but please ensure they are ok to be left in your vehicle while you are working the other one.

You can bring your tent, campervan or caravan and stay on site for a small additional fee. Or there are dog friendly hotels, b&bs locally for you to stay at (accommodation to be organised by you). We have a toilet and water on site but no power.

Elevenses and a packed lunch are included each day.
