Back to Basics Workshop – Rebuild Focus & Connection
Sometimes the best way forward is to go back to basics.
This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to help you strengthen your dog’s focus and engagement in real-world, high-distraction environments. Perfect for working dogs needing a refresher before the next season, as well as pet dogs who find it difficult to stay connected on walks, this session will give you the tools to rebuild solid foundations.
We’ll be working across two challenging environments — the rabbit pen and the woods — giving you the opportunity to practise and apply your skills where it matters most.
In this workshop, we will:
- Re-establish strong engagement and connection
- Improve your dog’s responsiveness around distractions
- Build reliable focus in stimulating environments
- Develop practical handling skills for real-life situations
- Help your dog make better choices when it counts
This workshop is ideal for:
- Working dogs needing their basics polished ahead of the season
- Dogs who become distracted or “switch off” on walks
- Handlers looking to rebuild consistency and control outdoors
