Seadogs Training – Terms & Conditions

Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions before booking with us.

1. General Terms & Conditions

  • All dogs must be vaccinated and up to date with their inoculations for: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo Virus and Parvo Influenza.
  • Dogs should also be up to date with anti-flea and anti-wormer treatments. We also recommend you discuss vaccination for kennel cough with your vet.
  • Dogs with infectious diseases are not permitted on site.
  • Lifetime pet insurance is strongly recommended. Owners remain responsible for all veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred.
  • Seadogs Training accepts no responsibility for loss of, or injury to, your dog whilst training with us.
  • All dogs must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed.
  • Do not allow your dog to approach another dog.
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If the adult leaves the training area, the child and dog must accompany them. Trainers or other clients cannot take responsibility for children.
  • We believe in a balanced approach to training. This means using fair, effective, and ethical methods that prioritise clear communication, consistency, and the welfare of the dog. Harsh or abusive handling is not permitted. Owners who use inappropriate methods may be asked to leave immediately without refund.
  • Seadogs Training accepts no responsibility for theft of, from, or damage to vehicles. Please do not leave valuables in your car. Any dogs left in vehicles are done so at the owner’s risk.
  • Training sessions are held outdoors in natural environments. Please be aware of uneven ground, slippery areas, trees, branches, and other natural obstacles.
  • By attending, you agree to take full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of your dog, and the safety of anyone accompanying you.
  • You agree to complete any training homework set as part of your progress.
  • Behavioural problems must be declared prior to booking. Aggressive dogs are not permitted. Any dog deemed aggressive by the trainer will be asked to leave.
  • By attending, you consent to Seadogs Training (Rob Palmer) using photos, video, or audio recordings taken during sessions for marketing, demonstrations, or educational material. These may be edited and used without royalty or compensation.
  • Please pick up after your dog.
  • While fencing is checked regularly, Seadogs Training cannot guarantee that dogs will not escape due to natural burrows or determined behaviour. Liability for escapes or injuries rests with the owner.
  • Training in woods or water is not enclosed. Dogs must have good recall, steadiness, and remain under control. Natural hazards such as uneven terrain or low branches are present. Seadogs Training accepts no liability for injuries.
  • Charges apply for pegged game.
  • No bitches in season. Owners are welcome to attend without their dog to observe and learn if they wish.

2. Booking Procedure & Cancellation Rights

  • Payment secures your booking. If payment is not received, your place may be released.
  • No refunds are issued unless Seadogs Training cancels the session or event.
  • By making payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

3. Online Training Sessions & Online Courses

  • Online 1:1 sessions, group sessions, and workshops are non-refundable unless cancelled by Seadogs Training.
  • Online courses are non-refundable once accessed, regardless of completion status.
  • If Seadogs Training cancels an online session or course, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.

4. Group Classes, Workshops, Full Days, Holidays & Events

  • Spaces are limited. Payment secures your place for the duration of the payment period stated on your invoice.
  • Missed classes cannot be refunded, credited, or transferred.
  • If your dog is in season or injured, you are welcome to attend without them to observe and learn.
  • No refunds or credits are given for unattended classes.

5. Individual Training Sessions

  • 72 hours’ notice is required for cancellation. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full.
  • Pre-paid block bookings are offered at a discount but must be used within 90 days of the last booked session. Unused sessions will expire with no refund.
  • Individual training sessions last up to 45 minutes.

6. Gift Vouchers

  • Redeemable only for services listed on the voucher.
  • Not exchangeable for cash or other vouchers.
  • Individual sessions booked with vouchers are subject to the 72-hour cancellation policy.
  • Group classes must be booked in blocks of 8 consecutive sessions (subject to availability).
  • Any cost above the voucher value must be paid by the redeemer.
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers will not be replaced.
  • Credit notes are valid for 3 months.
  • Seadogs Training reserves the right to amend voucher terms without notice.

7. Products Purchased Online

  • In the case of errors, oversights, or unavailable stock, Seadogs Training reserves the right to cancel orders and issue a full refund.
  • Product descriptions and colours are as accurate as possible, but variations may occur due to screen settings.
  • Order confirmation will be sent by email.
  • Customers within the EU may cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
  • Returns:
    • Full-priced items may be returned in perfect condition within 14 days of delivery (with proof of purchase).
    • Custom orders and sale items are non-refundable.
    • Exchanges or credit notes are offered for sale items.
  • Returns are at the buyer’s cost.

8. Data Protection

  • Seadogs Training collects personal information to manage training and boarding services.
  • Contact details may be used to confirm or manage bookings.
  • Records may be requested by Babergh District Council as part of our boarding licence requirements.
  • Data is stored securely in hard copy and/or electronically with restricted access.
  • Seadogs Training is not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party sites accessed via links.
  • Consent to data storage and use may be withdrawn at any time by emailing: rob@seadogstraining.co.uk

9. Agreement

By confirming your booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Seadogs Training reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice.

Stour Valley Sporting Terms & Conditions

All Guns Making A Booking On A Stour Valley Sporting Roving Syndicate Or Any Other Bolt On Days Arranged By The Agent Thereby Agree To The Following Terms And Conditions:

  1. Stour Valley Sporting Shall, Henceforth, Be Referred To As ‘The Agent’.
  2. Insurance And Certificates

(A) All Guns Must Be Suitably Insured To Partake In Shooting Sports. We Recommend The Insurance Provided To Members Of BASC.

(B) All Guns Must Be In Possession Of A Valid Shotgun Certificate.

  1. Equipment

(A) The Gun Must Provide Their Own Shotguns And Cartridges On The Shoot Day.

(B) Double-Gunning Is Not Permitted. Unless Otherwise Agreed In Writing.

(C) Pump Action Or Semi-Automatic Shotguns Are Not Permitted Unless Agreed In Writing.

(D) We Request That All Guns Use Only Fibre Wads On All Of Our Shoot Days.

(E) Guns Are Reminded That Non-Toxic Shot MUST Be Used Where Required By Relevant Legislation.

  1. Shoot Cancellation & Conduct

(A) In The Event That The Shoot Day Is Cancelled By The Shoot Provider The Agent Will Endeavour To Recover Any Money Paid To The Shoot And Refund To The Guns.  Less The Stour Valley Sporting Arrangement Fee.  The Agent Accepts No Liability However, If We Cannot Recover The Money.  We Would Therefore Recommend Guns Take Out Their Own Insurance To Cover This

(B) Notwithstanding Clause (A), The Shoot Provider Or His/Her Representative May Reserve The Right To Cancel The Shoot Due To The Following Circumstances Without Accepting Legal Responsibility To Reimburse The Guns:

(I) Before Shooting Begins, In The Event Of Adverse Weather Conditions, Storm Damage, Flood Or Heavy Snowfall, COVID-19 Or If For Any Other Reason Including But Not Limited To The Activities Of Demonstrators Or Saboteurs He Considers It Is Unsafe Or Impractical To Commence Or Continue Shooting; Or

(Ii) If, On Or Before The Date Of The Shoot, Any Government Agency Shall Have Banned Shooting Or The Shooting Of Species Which Normally Comprises The Majority Of The Bag.

(Iii) If, In The Event, That The Shoot Varies The Day In Bag Size, Changes The Format In Any Way, Changes Price, The Agent Has Discretion To Make Changes Where Appropriate That They Feel Is In The Interest Of The Guns.

In Such Events The Shoot Provider, At His/Her Absolute Discretion, May Make An Appropriate Deduction From The Price, Or Offer An Alternative Days Shooting, Which Shall Be Passed On By The Agent. Neither The Shoot Provider Nor The Agent Accept Any Legal Responsibility To Reimburse The Guns In The Event Of Cancellation Under This Clause. As Such, We Recommend All Guns Take Out Cancellation Insurance To Cover All Eventualities.

(C) In The Event That A Gun Cancels Their Booking, All Monies Paid Shall Be Forfeited, Unless The Agent Is Able To Find A “Suitable Known” Replacement Gun – In Which Case A Refund Will Be Provided, Minus 30% To Cover Administration For The Agent.

(D) The Agent Or Any Representative From The Shoot Retains The Right To Stop Any Gun From Continuing To Shoot If They Believe That The Gun Poses A Safety Risk. In Such Cases, No Refund Will Be Given.

  1. Shoot Day Organisation

(A) The Agent Will Provide A Representative To Accompany The Team Of Guns Throughout The Day.

(B) The Shoot Provider And/Or The Agent Have Absolute Discretion As To The Conduct And Organisation Of The Day – Including, But Not Limited To, The Order And Number Of Drives To Be Shot.

(C) Guns Shall Convene At An Assigned Place And At An Assigned Time Before The Shoot Begins. This Will Be Promulgated Prior To The Shoot Day By The Agent. The Draw For Pegs Will Take Place Before The First Drive. Guns Who Are Late To Arrive May Miss One Or More Drives. No Refund Will Be Available In Such Circumstances.

(C) As Per Clause 3(D), The Agent And Representatives From The Shoot Retain The Right To Stop Any Gun From Continuing To Shoot.

(D) Ground Game Shall Not Be Shot Unless Otherwise, And Specifically, Directed.

  1. Catering

Catering Will Be Provided As Laid Out In Literature Prior To Booking.

  1. Gratuities

Gratuities Are Not Included In Any Booking. All Tips Should Be At The Gun’s Discretion And Based On His/Her Enjoyment Of The Day. The Agent Will Be Happy To Advise If The Gun Is In Doubt Regarding An Appropriate Tip.

  1. Monies

(A) All Monies Paid In Full, Unless Previous Agreement Has Been Made With The Agent.

(B) The Agent Will Add A 10% Arrangement Fee To All Of The Days. This Is Paid At The Time Of Booking.

(C) In The Event Of Any Refunds. Any Refunds Will Be Less The Cancellation Fee.

(D) Your Place Is Not Confirmed Until Full Payment Is Received; Delays May Result In You Losing Your Place.

(E) Should Costs Increase After Booking The Agent Will Pass These Costs On To The Gun.  The Agent Is Not Liable For Any Increases

We Reserve The Right To Change Terms And Conditions At Any Time.

By Paying The Invoice You Accept The Terms And Conditions.
